Northern Border Terrier Club Open Show (19-04-2014)

First Place in Post Graduate - Bitch, Judge: Mrs. Joyce Martin (Merumhor)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the Northern Border Terrier Club for their kind invitation to judge at this show, my first breed club appointment. I was well looked after by the committee and their hospitality was wonderful. I would like to thank my 2 ring stewards – Tracy Peacock and Allen Horner – who were very efficient in keeping me right and kept everything running smoothly. It was a great privilege for me to have such an excellent entry and of such good quality to go over. Thank you to all those who gave me this opportunity and for taking my decisions so sportingly.

Placing Critique:

(BB & BIS) This young bitch entered the ring with real style. She stood beautifully and was presented in pristine condition with the tightest of pin wire coats and loose pelt. She has a super otter head with flat skull and short strong muzzle and sweet expression with small neat ears. She has a good reach of neck which flows into well laid back shoulders and a lovely top line. She has a moderate length of body with a super short carrot tail coming straight off the back giving a lovely balanced outline. Her feet are small, catlike with thick pads. She is a handy size and is not exaggerated in anyway. She moved true all ways She showed so well for her handler and I was pleased to award her Best Bitch and then BIS.
