First Place in Open, Judge: Debbie Lorraine (Raleniro)
Thank you to the officers and committee for the invitation to judge at this show. Many thanks to the exhibitors for the lovely quality entry and for accepting my decisions so sportingly, there were some very close decisions and dogs could easily have changed places on another day.
A very strong class with the top two changing places on another day. Both capable of doing a day’s work.
Young dog that caught my eye on entering the ring. Just under two years grizzle and tan dog of lovely size. Strong, masculine head with alert, keen expression, correct scissor bite with strong underjaw. Fabulous narrow, gun barrel straight front with enough bone. Good layback of shoulder and ribbed well back. Easily spannable. Level topline and well set on tail. Muscular hindquarters which powered him round the ring with good economy of movement. Thick pelt and undercoat with top coat just about to go past it’s best, but still of excellent texture. Quality dog who is bound to do well in the future. BOB
