My thanks to the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge their Open Show and for their kind hospitality. Thank you also to my ring steward, Mark Lowry, who kept things running smoothly – I very much enjoyed my day.
I would also like to thank the exhibitors for the privilege of going over their dogs and the sporting manner in which they accepted my decisions. All dogs were entire and I found no kinked tails.
20 month old grizzle dog with moderately strong head, good muzzle and excellent dentition. Good lay of shoulder, level top line and good tail set. Spannable and well-muscled. Good pelt and coat. Moved soundly round the ring. Although he lost his sparkle a little in the challenge, I was happy to award him BOB. He showed himself much better in the group and I was pleased to see him go TG1 and then RBIS later on in the day.
