First Place in Open, Judge: Ms Tina Jones (Otterholme)
Many thanks to the society to judge here, I last judged her a few years ago and received the same warm welcome. Special thanks to the exhibitors for entering under me and sporting grace shown on my decisions. The show did clash with a local group open show, but it was still a pleasing entry and good depth of quality to be found.
Blue and tan built on lovely racy lines comes to hand so well, looked a picture in profile, excellent in upper arm and shoulders demonstrated in her superb front extension on the move. Lovely head in correct proportions with powerful strong muzzle Super harsh coat with ample pelt to compliment it, tight feet on thick pads, shown in hard fit condition, good muscular hindquarters, I found her unexaggerated and balanced throughout and just what I was looking for in an earth dog and ticked all the boxes for a dog fit for function.
