The East Anglia Border Terrier Club Open Show (17-11-2019)

Second Place in Veteran - Dog, Judge: Mrs Jenny Miller (Feorlig)

Show Critique:

I must thank the officers and committee for allowing me to judge their Club Open show which was a great honour and which I really enjoyed. The hospitality and the friendly atmosphere made for a nice show and the quality of the dogs was exceptional. I must thank the Club for the lovely gift and Jan Hollingsbee for the flowers which are still alive and looking good. I must also thank my steward Julie Green who gave up her entry to steward for me.

Placing Critique:

This 7 year old was slightly taller and longer in back than my winner but overall looked a nice type. Preferred the head shape of my winner. Stronger head and skull, ear set is ok with a larger ear. Dark alert eyes. Slight longer in muzzle. Firm backline over a body with depth and substance with a good span and thick skin. Well ribbed back, good angulation front and rear, well boned straight legs and tight pads to feet. A textured and shaped red grizzle jacket with good undercoat. Moved out well with good sound action.
