The Scottish Border Terrier Club Limited Show (26-01-2020)

First Place in Yearling - Dog, Judge: Mrs J Carr (Wreighaugh)

Show Critique:

I’d like to thank the Committee for their invitation to judge this show. As always it was very well organised and there was a very hospitable welcome. Thanks to my steward who kept things moving along. Thank you also to the exhibitors for the excellent entry and, despite a few absentees, I had some lovely Borders to go over. Coats were very varied; mouths were good and there were no kinked tails. Thank you to all the exhibitors and spectators who came and supported the show and created such a good atmosphere.

Placing Critique:

22 month old grizzle. Very nice head, lovely eye and expression. He has a strong jaw and good dentition. Nice reach of neck leads into good shoulder placement. Easily spanned with a good layback of rib and a strong loin. He has nice rear angulation and moved well. Good loose pelt, not quite in full coat.
