The Scottish Border Terrier Club Limited Show (26-01-2020)

First Place in Post Graduate - Dog, Judge: Mrs J Carr (Wreighaugh)

Show Critique:

I’d like to thank the Committee for their invitation to judge this show. As always it was very well organised and there was a very hospitable welcome. Thanks to my steward who kept things moving along. Thank you also to the exhibitors for the excellent entry and, despite a few absentees, I had some lovely Borders to go over. Coats were very varied; mouths were good and there were no kinked tails. Thank you to all the exhibitors and spectators who came and supported the show and created such a good atmosphere.

Placing Critique:

5-year-old red grizzle. A striking dog shown in full double coat. Great head and lovely keen expression. Lovely strong jaw and good dentition. Nice neck of moderate length leading into well angulated shoulders. Good layback of ribs and a strong loin with a good topline and correct tail set. He has a great loose pelt. He moved with drive and showed himself to full advantage. I was pleased to award him BD and BIS.
