Sedgley & Gornal Canine Association Premier Open Show (27-11-2022)

First Place in Open, Judge: Mrs. Lesley Armstrong-Rodgers ( Scottsway )

Show Critique:

Thank you to the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge at this, their first Premier Show. It was a very well run Show with both exhibitors and judges in mind. Thank you to my able steward, Eliza Hajdas, who kept the ring running smoothly with a constant smile. I thoroughly enjoyed my day, unfortunately there were a few absentees, but I was delighted with the quality of my entry. Thanks must also go to all the exhibitors who gave me the chance to go over their dogs.

Placing Critique:

Such a lovely head on this well balanced grizzle and tan bitch. Her sire really seemed to put his stamp on such quality heads, being so typical of the breed. Has a moderately broad skull and a strong muzzle, big teeth with correct dention. A lovely eye, both in colour and shape and combined with a super expression. Standing with a firm topline and neat tailset. Correct angulation in both front and rear, and was in quite good coat with a thick pliable pelt. A very typy bitch who moved out well enough but at times rather reluctantly, which unfortunately cost her higher honours today !
