The Northern Border Terrier Club Open Show (08-04-2023)

First Place in Open - Dog, Judge: Mrs J Carr (Wreighaugh)

Show Critique:

My thanks go to the Committee of the NBTC for their invitation to judge their Open Show. I was honoured to receive this appointment and am incredibly grateful to the exhibitors who gave me such a great entry. It was a most enjoyable day and special thanks go to my Stewards, Andrea Pitt and Mark Atkinson, for keeping me on track and helping the ring to run smoothly.

Placing Critique:

Grizzle and Tan. A lovely headed dog with all the right proportions. He has a short strong muzzle, a moderately broad head, correct bite, dark eye, keen expression and correct ears. Front angulation shows good layback of shoulder leading into straight forelegs and neat feet. He has good length of rib and depth of chest and is easily spannable. He is narrow throughout with a strong loin and muscular yet racy hindquarters with good angulation. Not in full coat today however plenty there to see on a lovely pelt. Good tail set and carriage whilst moving freely on a good stride finishes the picture. BD, BIS.
