Thank you to all the exhibitors for your huge entry, it’s a good job we went outside for Limit Dog as we would not all fit into the inside wet weather ring. I really enjoyed judging the dogs more than the bitches not often is the case but today it was.

Coats were either non existence, blown or half and half, just a handful were in double coat and they looked the part. One bad mouth, one had a front tooth missing, all dogs were entire and no bitches in season.

Minor Puppy – Dog

1st: Borderella Day Tripper (Mrs P South) 8 month old red, good head for his age, dark eye, I liked his length of body, with good hind angulation which showed in his movement.

2nd: Orangebox Firecracker (Mr M & Mrs T Anscombe) 7 month old smart lively grizzle, narrow front, better tail set than 1st both handled and moved well.

3rd: Kighill Mister Clooney (Mr B & Mrs K Newsome)

1st: Ethlencoral Pip of Ottaswell (Mr D & Mrs G M Hunt) Straight front and legs good muscle tone well angulated racy hind quarters. Would of liked a better tail set and a shorter muzzle

2nd: Benattivo Basilio (Mr C & Mrs S Girling) Smart showy dog with a otter like head dark eyes long neck narrow front, lacking in coat and not showing any ticking which a Blue/Tan should have.

3rd: Mingrovia Flintstone Chief at Rubyfin (Mrs S J Channer)

1st: Digmoor Aces High (Mr M P & Mrs S V Regan) What a dog to go over, the handler showed him off very well, slim spannible in a short harsh double coat, well angulated correct short tail.

2nd: Digmoor Captain Hook by Tyrian (Mrs K Dean) Pity this dog had no coat or these two might have changed places, Built on similar lines, slightly longer in foreface, movement in both 1st & 2nd good with muscle tone.

3rd: Brookbank Could it be Magic (Mrs S P Norris)

1st: Badgerbeck Fresco of Earthtaw (Miss J A & Mr M W V Haydon & Gibbings) One of the narrowest spannible dogs today, good coated red slim all the way through, showed on a loose lead, a bit too loose at times.

2nd: Rhozzum Kingpin (F J Matthews) Red Grizzle larger build than 1st ok in front and movement.

3rd: Clipstone Tailor (E & J Jackson)

1st: Yeomeadow Sorrel for Tyrian (Prof S Dean) Smart leggy Blue/Tan coat nearly on its way out but still had a harsh texture, lovely shoulders leading to a level back another muscle dog from this kennel.

2nd: Badgerbeck Felix (Miss L M Jenkins) A smaller red which was neat in all departments.

1st: Hesslemere Hi Karate JW (Mrs C Davis) A lovely front with straight legs, narrow body spannible, coat at its best, good masculine head with that cheeky varminty expression, very gamey alert and moved with drive shown and handled to Dog CC and Best of Breed plus his crown.

2nd: Quarryway Dill (Mrs B & Mr K E Johnson & Williams) A light red, very nice in all departments liked him for his shape and outline and deserved the RES DOG CC

2nd: Glebeheath Minnie the Motor at Blewecourt JW (Mr M & Mrs T Morgan) This bitch has a smart out line, nice lengthy body ribs well back good hind angulation and tail set, not much facial hair which makes her look snippy but she isn’t.

2nd: Comberdown Ciara (Mr I & Mrs A Higham) A Light red not much coat but what was there mattered, Lovely strong head and muzzle , nice shaped dark eye with a varminity expression, long neck leading to a good lay of shoulders then a level back , ribs well back good hind angulation with plenty of drive, handled and shown well Res Bitch CC.
