Many reports start with a thank you and I would like extend one to all the exhibitors who provided me with an entry which really reminded me why I love this breed. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and would have been very happy to have had a handful of top honours to hand out. In a number of classes, especially in bitches, the quality went right down the line and even beyond the cards.

Minor Puppy – Dog

1st: Dowgri Diggory (Mr W & Mrs T J Baird) Attractive well grown good jacketed youngster. Strong in head, good teeth and jaw masculine expression shown very well

2nd: Iacheslei Cantus (Miss A Harrison) Another promising youngster perhaps not yet as strong in head as 1 clean front and good shoulder nice size and length of body.

3rd: Brave Scooby Doo of Garw (Mr C J Ward) Racy youngster narrow and racy with good ribs and body lines. Just needs time.

1st: Dandyhow Beeline (Mrs K M Irving) Promising puppy in excellent condition typical head with neat ears. Nicely sized with straight front and good shoulder. Moved well. Best Puppy.

1st: Benattivo Basilio (Mr C & Mrs S Girling) Racy blue boy with strong head who showed himself off to the best. Tight coat, nicely shaped tail well set on, good in neck making him altogether pleasing in outline.

2nd: Halcus Annatto (Mr J F & Mrs I H Nicolls) Another pleasing in outline though heavier type than 1. In good condition with harsh tight coat, strong in muzzle, good muscular quarters which he used to advantage on the move.

3rd: Mingrovia Flintstone Chief at Rubyfin (Mrs S J Channer)

1st: Digmoor Aces High (Mr M P & Mrs S V Regan) Eye catcher in the best of coat, thick and harsh, good in neck and shoulder, excellent top line with good tail set, strong head. Excellent for type and balance. Was pleased to award him the Dog CC and gave me a tough decision for Best of Breed.

2nd: Bandicoot Double O Seven (Mr G E & Mrs V L K Docwra) Excellent for type, racy lines in good order with tight close coat good head and neck shown very well.

3rd: Blackmine Rossington to Badgerholme JW (Mr & Mrs B, Miss T Dickinson & James)

1st: CH Byrons Greengrass (Mr J & Mrs H M Thomas) Racy dog in new tight coat showing off a muscular physique . Processes a well proportioned head with strong muzzle and neat well placed ears. Balanced in outline, good bone right down to his tight feet moved well to take the Res Dog CC.

2nd: CH Vandamere’s Secret Agent JW (Miss J Singh) Another in good order with bags full of type. Strong in head with a keen masculine expression. Level top line with racy quarters and well set tail.

3rd: Kersfell Comet JW (Mrs M Sneddon)

1st: Brookbank Break the Spell JW (Mrs S P Norris) Eight year old in fine fettle. Has the best of coats being thick and harsh on a thick pelt. Showed to advantage on a loose lead and enjoying his day out.

2nd: Dandyhow Sir Toby (Wrenn & Langdon) At 12 years old still processes a narrow front and racy lines. Another Seemed to enjoy his day out in the sun.

3rd: Olderhill Hesta at Borderella (Mrs P South)

1st: Iacheslei Cantilena (Miss A Harrison) Very promising youngster. Feminine head with neat ears, attractive expression. Well balanced in body with good length of back allowing narrow ribs to be carried well back to a strong loin. Neat in shoulder and front. In good coat and condition. Best Puppy Bitch and challenged hard for Best Puppy.

2nd: Baillieswells Isla (Professor A S Milton) Nice neck, less coat than 1, nicely proportioned feminine head. Racy in body proportions neat feet moved well.

1st: Karison Kamellia JW (Miss K Johnson) Classy rich red bitch in spot on condition. Beautiful type, lovely size, narrow body, level top line in superb thick double jacket. Overall she is balanced and not overdone in any way. Was a pleasure to award her Best of Breed.

2nd: Glebeheath Minnie The Motor At Blewecourt JW (Mr M & Mrs T Morgan) Another bitch in peak condition having a rough textured dense coat. Strong in head proportions narrow body to good length of back, active and covering the ground well.

3rd: Baywillow Canape At Smalesmouth (Mrs J Roberts)

2nd: Brockfox Beretta (Miss M E Barnett) A close decision between these two stylish girls. Active bitch with keen expression, narrow in rib and racy in outline. Good in head with short strong muzzle. In good coat and condition showed with activity.
