RDCC, Grindelvald In Full Cry (Mrs M A Bailey)

RBCC, Blue Tutu Via Ycart (Mr K K & Mrs T J Fraser & Butler)

BP, Southash Blue Betty Boo Gameway (Mrs P Clark)

I would like to express my appreciation to the exhibitors for their support. On the whole, rear movement was satisfactory. However I observed front movement on some exhibits was unsatisfactory. I found one mouth with a misplaced tooth and another with a just passable level bite. Presentation of most dogs was of a high standard but some exhibits shown today would benefit greatly from regular daily exercise.

Minor Puppy – Dog

1st: Xapex Santiago at Otterwood (Mr M J & Mrs J M Hollingsbee) Six month old blue and tan, pleasing head with a good bite and nicely placed ears. He has good bone, a thick pelt and level top line with a carrot tail. His rear movement was very positive and showed drive and although he had that puppy playfulness, his front movement appeared true. Best Puppy Dog.

2nd: Foxcraig Magic Aurora (Mr G R Sugars) Pleasing head and expression, good bite and strong muzzle, good legs and feet. He has a deep narrow body with correct length of rib. He needs to be a bit stronger in his rear movement which should come with maturity.

3rd: Breadsall Jazzy to Beeley (Mrs J Rumbell)

Res: Ragatam Kenzie (Miss T Peacock)

VHC: Aurgwen Billericay (Mr A & Mrs L Bull)

Puppy – Dog

1st: Carrock Clayton (Ms J M Fawcett) This puppy has a pleasing head and good ear placement, correct bone and a straight front, lovely racy lines with ribs carried well back. He was spannable and had an excellent pin wire coat. He showed and moved well.

2nd: Cedarhill Cuyahoga to Tarkadon (Mrs D E & Miss T Shields) A strong headed mature puppy, large teeth with a correct bite. Good bone and in excellent coat. He was presented in first class order. Thought he was my winner, but front movement could have been better. He was unsettled on the table and did not seem to keen on his neighbours in the ring.

3rd: Ashbrae Fellman at Beaconpike (Mr & Mrs Golding)

Res: Borderella Day Tripper (Mrs P South)

VHC: The Dark Crystal (Mrs Anderson)

1st: Ethlencoral Pip of Ottaswell (Mr D & Mrs G M Hunt) This grizzle and tan dog had a good otter head with a short strong muzzle, large powerful teeth with a scissor bite. Good length of neck leading to well laid shoulders and a straight narrow front with correct bone and tight feet. His ribs were carried well back and he was easily spannable. Coat was of correct texture and he has a thick pelt. Lovely profile with a level top line while standing and on the move. He has a good bend of stifle with well muscled first and second thigh and for this reason he moved with drive. His presentation and condition was first class and he responded to his handler to show off his qualities. Movement both ways was sound. Dog Challenge Certificate and Best of Breed.

2nd: Grindelvald In Full Cry (Mrs M A Bailey) Unlucky to meet the winner. Another quality dog with a workmanlike appearance, pin wire coat, good reach of neck, forelegs straight and just enough bone. His body was narrow and spannable. He appealed very much in type and size, moved well. Reserve Dog Challenge Certificate.

2nd: Bramblebee Little Tyke at Cynetkoy (Mr S Watson & Mrs A Kenna) Lacking coat today and did not seem to enjoy his outing. Consequently, movement was difficult to assess.

2nd: Ragatam Hawk at Staynorwood (Mr & Mrs G Richardson) A very nice dog, full of type and substance and plenty to like about him. I was pleased with his movement and balance. It was a pity he was short of coat today.

1st: Ragatam Harris JW (Miss T Peacock) This dog has a strong masculine head, correct ear placement, good bite and strong teeth. He was presented in a double coat and had a thick pelt. His muscle tone was evident especially in his first and second thighs. I was impressed by his overall quality however his front movement could have been more positive.

2nd: Gameway Charles Dickens (Mrs P Clark) Although this dog did not have quite the head as the winner he was of a good type. He has a good expressions and neat ears. Correct length of neck and was spannable. Coat was harsh and his pelt was thick. I thought his overall movement could have been more convincing.

2nd: Todlaws Furl O Brise (Miss S Todd) Blue and Tan in excellent shape and condition for his age. Lovely racy outline with a level top line and correct tail set. He was in a good double coat. He has racy hind quarters with a good turn of stifle and his movement was positive. He covered the ground effortlessly, a nice showman.

She has a straight front, correct bone and neat feet. I found her easily spannable. She has a good coat with ticking evident and a thick pelt. Moved true and showed well for one so young. BEST PUPPY

2nd: Doramil Burnished Brass (Mrs M Scale) A raw puppy at the moment, but looks as though she has all the essentials, which on maturity, should improve. She has a pin wire coat, sweet otter head and good ear placement. Her action was satisfactory and she coped with her first outing well.

2nd: Benattivo Gemstone for Daluce (Mr J & Mrs H M Thomas) Another nice puppy. She has a lovely outline, level top line and good tail set. She was spannable and in good coat. I just preferred the strength of head of the winner. Responded well to her handler.

2nd: Benattivo Kissing Stone for Cynetkoy (Mr S D & Mrs A S Watson & Kenna) She has similar lines to her litter sister who was second in the puppy class. She was smaller made than my winner and movement let her down today.
